Response to brief

My response to this brief is overwhelmingly an exciting one, i have always been interested in music and understand that in order to sell the music there must be promotion behind it This therefor enables a theme to be created which allows the artists, their albums and genres to become an entire brand that can be easily recognized and identified with. I listen to mainly pop albums however i love a wide range of country artists as well, this is reflected by my favorite artist 'Taylor Swift' who first inspired me with her unique blend of pop and country sounds. I will be taking inspiration from her style for my magazine cover, because of her earlier more stripped back, simple and folk sounding songs i will be using pictures of the English countryside to create a vintage type theme.

Preliminary exercise: using DPT and an image manipulation program, produce the front page of a new school/college magazine, featuring a photograph of a student in medium close-up plus some appropriately laid-out text and a masthead. Additionally candidates must produce a DTP mock-up of the layout of the contents page to demonstrate their grasp of the program.
Main task: the front page, contents and double page spread of a new music magazine.
